CONTROLLED SPEAKING
Only two ways of improving your pronunciation and accuracy in a short period of time:
1) phonetics
OR
2) What we have here.
Forget about living in an English
speaking country: it takes longer, if you are lucky to pick up the accent.
Use the same paragraph two or three times the first week and then go on to the next paragraph.
Another week,
another paragraph,
another three days (yes, "another three days", plural but considered as one period of time)

You choose
This is absolutely necessary because most likely you must improve pronunciation and accuracy, or you wouldn't be taking this course.
Material: intermediate graded reader with CD (see there are not many dialogues). One speaker: ideal
The level of the graded depends on your level: it should always be a little below your level so that you needn't look up words and can read fluently

Procedure:
THE FIRST TIME
a) Choose one paragraph or two (some 10 to 15 lines).
b) Don't read the paragraph but for its last word so that you'll know where to stop the recording. Close book
c) Play recording and listen attentively (Book closed). Try to follow the sounds and intonation mentally. Do it twice.
d) Open
book and play recording. Follow the recording in your book trying to
repeat mentally. Do it twice.
e) Read aloud twice, or even three times, trying to imitate.
THE WHOLE PROCESS WON'T TAKE YOU MORE THAN 10 MINUTES.
Use the same paragraph two or three times the first week and then go on to the next paragraph.

another three days (yes, "another three days", plural but considered as one period of time)
GUARANTEED
DONE as it should be done, in two months (only 8/9
weeks -what are 8 weeks?) you yourself will start noticing the
difference.
YOU HAVE TIME ENOUGH TO IMPROVE YOUR PRONUNCIATION, INTONATION AND ACCURACY BEFORE THE END OF THE COURSE
